Yummy Aromas -
What a strange feeling. There are 11 minutes until church starts and I haven’t even gotten ‘ready for the day’.
We are staying home today. Not cause anything is wrong, but because we had extra kids over last night who were up til 6AM and I just can’t make them get up 3 hours later. Call me a bad Mom or a slacker, either way its not changing what we are or aren’t doing today.
My house smells glorious! Dh got up (at my request) to make his famous french toast. I got busy shortly after and there is now an asparagus bacon quiche in the oven. I also made a home-made apple compote for the french toast if anyone is so inclined.
Yesterday was a full day of shopping and running around town. I’ll update some tomorrow. Right now… that french toast is smelling way too good to stick around here.
What’s for breakfast at your house???

Uh, I had Kix with no milk… It pales in comparison to the feast you’re having for breakfast! Can I get the quiche recipe? J- likes quiche and I have yet to make any for him (I want to, I just haven’t had the stuff to do it yet) and that one sounds good! What’s compote?
Oh, I want to come to your house and eat! I had a cereal bar, banana and two cups of coffee for breakfast. You are a wonderful Mom and Wife to cook such wonderful meals.
Love ya,
Mmmm, I would rather be at your house, too! Let’s see, older dd had a toaster strudel, little dd had a bowl of honey bunches of oats, dh had his usual nothing, and I tried my hand at making poached eggs for myself. Then we spent the rest of the day making excuses as to why we had to drive around town in my new car. I feel like that commercial where the husband has to find an excuse to do an errand in the new car, lol.
That sounds so good! I had a beef sausage patty on a Thomas’ Light whole grain English muffin and two cups of coffee.
I had coffee, disgusting hostess choc. covered mini donuts and oh, more coffee. G- you total rock in the cooking department. what does D do with his french toast pray tell?!
Breakfast? Nope. not here. Glad you had a lazy dazy Sunday. Every now and then, we all deserve one!
Have a great week! Tracy
Mark usually makes bacon and eggs on Sundays for three of us (Michael doesn’t like eggs). Don’t eat until almost noon, though, so it’s more like brunch than breakfast… Haven’t had French toast in ages though – maybe I will do that for Easter breakfast.
Oh lucky you… that sounds so yummy.. I didnt sleep well last night so I slept in, no breakfast..
Did you make the quiche? it sounds wonderful
