Memories (on the cheap) -
Ahhhh, we are in the popsicle making business people!
When Dh went to HR last night, I had him look at another Wmart for me, again, no popsicle trays.
I wanna say thank you everyone for all your suggestions!
We compromised and got these for now. They are called Ice Tubes. The intention for the ice tube tray is so that the ice will fit into a water bottle (pretty cool idea).
We put the juice in there, put some craft sticks in and woo hoo, popsicles! YA!
Just thought I'd give ya an update. Its still hot here and I got very little sleep last night. Maybe tonight.~G
PS: Has anyone seen this movie? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Reviews please.

I have a popsicle tray, got it through a book club I signed up for with the kids a couple of years ago. May just have to pull it out, craving a popsicle, wonder why?. Didn't know there was a tray like the one you showed, for the bottled water. May have to look for one of those now.
Sherri has some of those. I am assuming she took them with her when she got married. I guess it's about as close as you are going to get this summer... lol
Sorry, I haven't seen the movie, so I can't help you there... Love ya! Tracy
We used to have some that came from Tupperware ~ have you checked with them?
Just watched this movie yesterday, Gina. It was nice to watch a "thriller" that wasn't full of blood and gore. I mostly liked the movie with the exception of some bad acting and a slightly confusing plot line. I'd watch it again with my teens, but not over and over again. I know the reviews for this movie are really mixed and I lean towards a high neutral rating...5+ out 10. "The Ring" would rate a 1 with me, but LOTR gets a 10 and "The Village" gets an 8. Does that help?

Necessity is the mother of invention, and with a creative mom, who knows what can happen! I hope your family enjoys their popsicles - what a good idea - and you can use the mold for ice cubes when the popsicle phase is over!
Having read the book, the movie was a bit of a disappointment. However, most movies are after the book. I bought it and the family was so-so about it. So I agree, about a 5-6 on a scale.
Oh those are cool... where did you find them at? what store?
Oooohhh, I have that ice maker but I had one hell of a time getting the tubes out. Hopefully you'll have better luck than me.
I know where I saw them! K Mart in The Dalles!! He he, gives you an excuse to come down here...
Hey, I didn't know they made it into a movie! I loved the book!! I might have to see about renting it or something.
Glad you found something to use.
Haven't seen the movie - not a big fan of horror movies...
I like Neil Diamond too. I am not ashamed to admit it! LOL As I type this, since I just read yuor comment, I have Cracklin' Rosie humming thru my head... lol Yep, we're both music dorks! LOL
haha, just watched that movie like a week ago - can't believe we did not talk about it. Ok, the message was good, acting sucked. Not something we would rent twice. Nice to see a "clean, good" horror movie tho.
Homemade popsicles... I remember making them as kids... loved it.. and made them when our kids were small too... funny how those things go in phases. I also have very fond memories of making home-made root beer when we were kids... and one time my folks put it in old beer bottles...with a strict warning of us not to 'play around' w/ them... COURSE we did... and so they had to take em away from us. To this day I have a taste for that warm 'yeasty' flavor of root beer, like the kind you still get at A & W restaraunts... do you have these there too?
Have a good day chika!

Not seen that movie
those make great popsicles
Thanks for your comment on my site!! I'm glad the Psalms verses touched you -- they also resonated with me like they never have before. I'm reading slowly through the Psalms right now, finding things that never "hit" me before -- looking now through the eyes of grief.
Thank you for your kindness of heart -- you and I carry the same pain. {{HUG}} Linda
Gina, I have a really good popsicle recipe on my blog. My kids have always loved it. Nita

Hey Gina, haven't seen that movie yet. We are watching "American Haunting" tonight though, and I'm excited to see it. Love a great spooky film! Tell Dylan his shirts are awesome, good luck with the sales! Also, try putting some pudding in those popscicle trays (or dixi cups). Yum!!!! Yep, in the 100s here too, yuk!!!
Hey, we went Geocaching the other day for the first time. Didn't find the first one, which was a disappointment because I'm sure we were in the right place, but we found two more a couple days later. Jeff's Dad gave us his GPS to use. It's older and seems to loose the satelites a bit in the trees, but it did the job! Can't wait to do more. There are even several way up here in the middle of nowhere we call home!
Take care, Amy C.
I have the Tupperware popsicle set my Mom probably scrounged from a yard sale when I was a kid and have been using it to my kids delight! And the neighbor kids, too, I might add. I know that doesn't help you, but paper or styrofoam cups work pretty well, too.
I thought of you today... as I was standing in Starbucks looking at popsicle freezer trays!
Hopefully your solution is working, but if not, you should be able to find them at a 'bucks near you!
