It Was a Very Satisfying Saturday -
Saturday was an excellent day!!! 9 good friends and myself went to tea. I’ve never done tea w/ a group (outside of the 175 ladies at Christmas that is!) before, so it was FUN! We went to Rose’s and then we waddled off to IKEA.
Oh my word! Have you ever been to IKEA? Let me preface by saying this new store is the only one around. I would have to drive 3.5 hours to get to another store. Seeing as it was the opening weekend and it was Saturday – it was like Main Street Disneyland on summer vacation. People, people, and more people! But the place is so huge, and I was so mesmerized by it all that it didn’t bug me one bit. I kept being shocked over and over again by the cheap prices. Christie (momma on the mountain) kept looking at me strangely and saying, “it is???” when I would say what a rockin’ price everything was. (And, yes, Christie, they are rockin prices!)
In June my friend Elisabeth and I went to Rose’s and had a day out – just us girls. I made this LO last night and love the colors. Tomorrow, I am hitting the road and going to Albany. We lived in Albany for 12 yrs and its where Elis lives. She is one of my best buds in the world. We have been friends for… akkkk…. 19 years now and she is having a biopsy on a mass on her thyroid. If you feel prompted, would you pray for Elisabeth? (They are doing this procedure to rule out cancer.)

Dylan got another tshirt style done Saturday. I think this one is adorable! I have got to get them in the store! I think they are going to sell like hotcakes!
And last but not least my Favorite Freebie of the Day - Its another deco border by Janosch and its my fav for Monday. I hope you like it. I think I will keep adding my fav freebie of the day to my entries if you all like the idea. Let me know.
Ok, I’m off… while I had my satisfying Saturday out w/ the girls, everyone else took the day off and the house suffered. Later gators!~G

I’ll definitely keep your friend in my prayers!
I LOVE IKEA – Atlanta got one last year and I’m totally obsessed with it. I mean, how much Swedish stuff do I need in my house? Apparently, quite a lot! My mom actually redid her floors their flooring and it looks great!
As soon as I read it, I started praying for your friend. I hope it all works out for her.
LOoks like you had a great weekend!!! Great prices always rock! Love, love love the layout!!!
Ah how I’d like to be at your teaparty! sigh. I am so glad you had time out w/ your g/f – need a good dose of that now and again! Hmmmm, notice no teens there… LOL!!! Ikea – yes, we have lots of Ikea’s up here, and yes they rock. You can get a free catalogue to drool over, didja know? We have some ikea decoratin’ our place!
You have a good time in Albany and I will pray for your friend.
hugs to ya, Sistah! {B}
I have never been near an IKEA, but now I am curious and want to find one to visit!
Tea looks very fun. Loads of fellowship.
Love Robot is so darling. Yes, into the stores now!
Praying.
luv teaparties!! Prayed for your friend ~
The book is called Harry Potter, Narnia, and The Lord of the Rings. I have not read it yet. I am ordering it. Kaye is the one who recommended it to me.
Cool shirts
Keep those freebies coming – this newbie needs all she can get.
OMG, I can’t believe you went and played BUNCO! I didn’t even know that game still existed. My mom and all her girlfriends use to host Bunco parties all the time when I was a kid! It was always fun to watch!
So, I can’t wait til we come visit the relatives down south again to go pop into IKEA. We’ve been making the one in Aburn/Renton area a usual stop on our way to Vancouver for years now. Have you tried their meatballs? They are quite tasty! And yes, I’d say a grea portion of our stuff in this house was purchased at the affordable IKEA prices. You just have to put it all together yourself, that is the payback.
Good to see you had a nice time at tea! What fun! Have a great trip!
Praying for your friend……looks like you all had a great time at tea
And I love love love the shirts…..to the stores woman….now
