Blessings Along the Way & Nail Biting for Today
The last month has been challenging for us. There is no doubt, but there have blessings along the way. I’d like to share a few with you.
Blessing #1 came as a bonus when someone made a purchase at my Etsy store and sent me this little note –
<<<Let the kids know that Jesus loves them, and always takes care of them, no matter what our circumstances look like. (((HUGS)))>>>
Along w/ their store purchase came a $40 bonus. I didn’t know what to say. I was speechless.
We were able to get the kids a gift each for Christmas.
Blessing #2 came when we were able to give.
When the church building project started…people started giving financially, and even then things were tight for us. (Ever since Dylan had his accident 2 weeks before we lost Nick money has been an issue – with overtime being a thing of the past and the bills that came from the ICU stay, etc, its just been thin around our pocketbook.)
We had a washer/dryer set that we had only used it a very short time and it was in great shape – so that became my gift to the project… no matter how lame it seemed in my own eyes.
Some friends of ours (with 5 kids) had their washer go out a few weeks ago and although my heart went straight to my patio (where the washer set I had sat) I didn’t say a thing because it was already promised. I got a message from the pastor asking if I would release the promise to the church and give it to my friends. I was excited and it really blessed my heart to give it to them. I can’t image
Blessing #3 came 2 days after Christmas when a box w/ these in it came to the door.
Blessing #4 came yesterday, at church. An usher handed me an envelope that had been given to him. Inside –
Needless to say – I bawled. Seriously. I have been out of my most fav tea for weeks now and it comes from Republic of Tea and I was $100 shy of making the Feb car payment.
Speechless.
JOB SITUATION –
In 40 minutes from now – 9 AM Pacific, Noon Eastern… my man goes in for his 3rd round interview w/ one company (job is ‘local’ 35 min drive from home in PDX). Friday he has his 3rd round interview w/ another company (2 hours away).
Prayers coveted. God’s in control. We just want His will.
Til I hear more… I’m trying not to bite off every fingernail I have.~G

Wow,God is so faithful,I love your gentle witness and faith.
G~ I can always count of you to touch me in ways that I can not even express. Our financial paths are similiar in many ways, and I have kept you in mind as I try to be led by God down this path. I like how seedsower described you as a “gentle witness” So incredibly true. Thank you for sharing. I pray for God’s will for you and your family as well! I miss you.

Blessings indeed!
Gosh, I was in your position exactly last year. Ted lost his job and was job hunting for 3 months. It was so scary and stressful. But you know, he ended up with a company that not only paid more, but gave him a higher position than the one he had AND treats him better, so there is a silver lining to these hardships. I’m sending lots of “good luck” vibes for your hubby’s interviews!
It is inspiring to see the way God works during our darkest times! Prayers said that your husband gets the job!

Sounds like lots of great things happened to you which felt better because of the tough ness of your situation. Yay for you for sharing so well on your blog about the loving way God is providing for you.
God is good, ALL THE TIME.
Its sort of ironic really, but people who HAVE everything, often miss the blessing of seeing people reach into their lives to help? What a beautiful journey you are allowing us to share in Gina.
WE are thinking of you and D. as he goes for his interviews.
Love, Barb
Wonderful blessings, praise God! Will be praying for your hubby’s interviews!
Gina, our precious God is so awesome. He is always on time and always there. Sometimes the voice is small and soft but when we are still and silent with our prayers He gives us our needs. How wonderful for the blessings you have received and that you were able to give to others when they needed as well. Blessings my dear friend for your husband’s job hunt. Praying that one of these 3rd go around interviews is the right one for him. God, please continue to bless this special family. Amen.
