  • Happy Homemaker Monday - July 6


    ON MY BEDSIDE TABLE: A dirty soup cup (I was too lazy to take it to the kitchen before I fell asleep).

    ON MY TV: The Count of Monte Cristo (ahhh, I love that movie).

    ON THE MENU FOR TONIGHT: Linda's chicken casserole

    ON MY TO DO LIST: Clean up said cup and do my 'Monday' chores.

    NEW RECIPE I TRIED LAST WEEK: Root Beer Cookies - they were a HIT! (recipe tomorrow).

    IN THE CRAFT BASKET: Nada.

    LOOKING FORWARD TO:  A 4-day weekend w/ my man coming up.

    HOMEMAKING TIP OF THE WEEK: Headboards are not dishwashers - don't be lazy.  :)

    LESSON LEARNED FROM THE PAST FEW DAYS:  We will have dragonflies in the pond soon.  :)

    Love the fact that you admit that you left a soup cup on your headboard! I would so do that... and admit it, too! 


    You're the "craftiest" person I know, my friend; got any ideas on what I can do with the bucket full of seashells I brought home from vacation? I think they should become SOMETHING, I just don't know what.

    @Shirlann - What comes to mind is putting them, w/ sand, in an apothecary jar... whatever kind you like.  I have also need one seashell on a stand (ie, stick the shell w/ glue on a piece of thin dowel which is attached to a piece of wood to make a stand).  I also have a shell w/ a photo of my fav Maui pic (although the shell is the ONLY thing that didnt' come from Maui - I have a beach theme going in my bedroom).  I will take a pic and show you.
